At Century Mill Lumber, almost all of our products are sold “rough”, but we realize that not all of our customers have the necessary equipment needed to bring their projects to life, so we are happy to offer the following services.
Century Mill’s shop charges a rate of $135/hour and the typical lead time can range anywhere from 2-3 weeks, depending upon the complexity of the project. Contact us today for a quote on your next custom product.
Here at Century Mill Lumber we use a woodworking tool called a planer to take rough material such as 4/4 (1 inch), and plane it to have a smooth finish on all 4 sides of the board.
In the shop we use a process called laminating to glue boards parallel to one another which creates the appearance of a wider piece of wood. Examples of this would be kitchen tables, desks, or counter tops.
We can take any material that has been bought here at Century Mill Lumber and cut it to any specific size that you need. Ripping means to clean up and square the edges of your material if needed.
Century Mill Lumber is home to a 9” moulder – this allows us to run custom tongue & groove profiles, shiplaps and trim profiles on any of the 50+ woods we stock here!
